"Johnny Cash - American Rebel" to Premiere on CMT in 2015

Vancouver, British Columbia / ACCESSWIRE / October 2, 2014 / Network Media Group Inc. (TSX-V: NTE) (the "Company"), is pleased to announce an agreement with the John R. Cash Revocable Trust under which Network will produce a feature documentary on the life and legacy of the legendary Johnny Cash, entitled "Johnny Cash - American Rebel." Commissioned by CMT, the 90-minute documentary is slated to air next year on the U.S. cable channel. The famed "Man in Black" literally defined country music during his long run at the top of the charts, and went on to become one of the biggest stars ever to come out of Nashville. This new film follows in the proud tradition of Network's slate of high profile legacy documentaries on the lives of the world's greatest icons, following the company's Academy Award shortlisted Muhammad Ali film "Facing Ali", and its recent documentaries "I Am Bruce Lee", "I Am Steve McQueen" and "I Am Evel Knievel".

"Johnny Cash was known and admired for his independent spirit, and he was way ahead of his time in advocating for the downtrodden, and against racism and injustice", states Derik Murray, Network's CEO and the producer of the film, "Our goal with this film is to show all sides of this incredibly successful and complex artist, a man who profoundly touched the lives of so many, while at the same time battling his own personal challenges."

"Our company has enjoyed both commercial and critical success with our brand of storytelling in documentaries featuring the world's greatest personalities," adds Network Executive Chairman Robert Pirooz, "We are honoured to continue in that tradition by now working with the John R. Cash Revocable Trust to create a Johnny Cash legacy film which will pay tribute to one of the most influential artists and entertainers of our time."

"Johnny Cash - American Rebel" is executive produced by Derik Murray and Paul Gertz from Network Entertainment. Jayson Dinsmore, Lewis Bogach and John Miller-Monzon serve as executive producers for CMT.
