Whitefish, MT / September 30, 2014 / Cannabis industry stocks were mixed last week, despite ongoing regulatory gains both in the United States and around the world. Top gainers included MedBox Inc. (OTC: MDBX), which jumped more than 16% after launching its new website and completing its second capital raise, and Earth Science Tech Inc. (OTC: ETST), which jumped nearly 80% after announcing new CBD shipments and awareness efforts.

On the regulatory side, cannabis advocates continue to make progress in promoting the medical and – in some cases – adult-use of the substance across many states. Uruguay has also made tremendous progress in developing its adult-use cannabis program, including opening up the country to foreign growers. The country expects its first major harvests to begin by the end of the year.
