DELRAY BEACH, FL / ACCESSWIRE / September 23, 2014 / InterCore, Inc. (OTC Pink: ICOR) (PINKSHEETS: ICOR) ("InterCore") announced that the first of two driver simulator tests of its alertness detection technology has been completed by an independent European transportation technology testing firm on behalf of a major multinational corporate client.

"We were initially contacted by the testing firm in December 2013 to participate in a review of twenty-three technologies. In August, five were selected to be the subjects of a vehicle simulator test," said James F. Groelinger, InterCore's CEO.

Representatives of the testing firm, utilizing an iPhone purchased in Europe, independently downloaded the DADS(TM) app software from the new server center recently established by SRG International, Inc., InterCore's wholly-owned subsidiary that developed the DADS(TM) technology. This step demonstrated to the testing firm on a first-hand basis the ease of the download and setup process. Once accomplished, the iPhone and associated camera were installed in the simulator test vehicle in parallel with devices with competing technologies. A representative of SRG was available during the test period to respond to any questions and reported that the DADS(TM) app "performed flawlessly".

Mr. Groelinger continued: "The simulator testing was completed last week. While formal results will not be available until October, the preliminary indications are that DADS(TM) performed exceptionally well. We're looking forward to participating in the second phase of thesimulator testing which is expected to occur in the fall, the winner of which will advance to a field test likely involving several thousand vehicles and other applications."

DADS(TM) utilizes a smartphone and a small off-the-shelf digital camera to perform biometric monitoring of multiple points of a driver's face to continually evaluate the operator's real-time level of alertness. DADS(TM) signals drivers when they are becoming fatigued and their skills are becoming impaired (often before they know it themselves). In applications such as truck, bus, or train operations, DADS(TM) would provide visual and audible alerts of decreasing levels of alertness and the probable onset of sleep to both the vehicle operators and their dispatch control centers.

DADS(TM) is currently deployed in a commercial demonstration program in 5,000 trucks insured by a major insurance carrier. The iPhone app - in both commercial and consumer versions - is now ready for deployment, which is expected to commence via iTunes within several weeks. Android and Windows versions of DADS(TM) are expected to be made available before the end of this year.
