Baltimore, Maryland / ACCESSWIRE / July 31, 2014 / Goldman Small Cap Research, a stock market research firm focused on the small cap and micro cap sectors, announced today that it has released a new research report on Green Endeavors, Inc. (OTCPK – GRNE). The Salt Lake City-based holding company has operations in the health and beauty industry.

The health and beauty salon services and products market is a multi-billion dollar industry. Yet, the upstart Green Endeavors, Inc. recorded in $3.6 million in revenue last year and has proven success in generating higher than industry average gross profit margins. Unlike mass market chains such as GreatClips, the Hair Cuttery and those owned by sales leader Regis, the upscale Green Endeavors model generates a gross profit margin of over 40%. This profit margin is nearly one-third higher than that of the mass market firms.

The holding company’s salons offer high quality hair care and other salon services such as makeup, skin care and nail care. The salons incorporate the use of the Aveda line of products in all of the services performed and exclusively offer Aveda retail products for sale. The Aveda brand, owned by Estee Lauder Companies, Inc., manufactures “green”, professional plant-based hair care, skin care, makeup, Pure-Fume™, and other lifestyle products.

In the Goldman Opportunity Research report on the Company, analyst Rob Goldman outlines his investment thesis.

“Green Endeavors’ customer demographics and revenue per customer are typical for the upscale market. Approximately 70% of the clients are female who visit the salon 6-8 times per year and spend an average of $66 on services and purchase about $16 of Aveda products per visit. Management plans to leverage this success by engaging in a series of acquisitions in the next 2-3 years with the goal of enhancing sales and operating profitability. Therefore, this relative unknown could be considered a low-priced way to play the salon industry.”
