Irving, TX / myprgenie.com / ACCESSWIRE / July 28, 2014 / This month Becker's Spine Review, a prestigious trade publication based in Chicago, named Dr. Douglas Won as a 2014 Leadership Award winner. Dr. Won is the founder and director of SpineCARE(tm), a nationally acclaimed spine center headquartered in Irving, Texas, and chief medical officer of Star Medical Center, a surgical hospital in Plano. He was one of 17 spine surgeons to be recognized from a national pool of candidates, and one of only three statewide.

Becker's Spine Review accepted nominations of top spine surgeons from readers and industry professionals, and the publication selected winners based on leadership, experience and entrepreneurship demonstrated by the nominees.

A premier health care publication, Becker's Spine Review focuses on news, business and legal issues affecting spine surgeons and their practices. It has several award programs throughout the year to recognize exceptional facilities and individuals, and many readers consider the Leadership Award one of the highest tributes.

"Becker's Spine Review is well-read throughout our industry. It is committed to excellence and has an outstanding reputation. I'm honored to have been chosen as one of this year's Leadership Award winners," said Dr. Won.
