Toronto, ON / ACCESSWIRE/ July 22, 2014-Moag Copper Gold Resources Inc. ("Moag")(CSE:MOG) announced today that the 1st phase of its drill program on its Mace Molybdenum-Copper Prospect, Connemara, County Galaway, Ireland is scheduled to commence on July 23, 2014.

The drill program proposes six boreholes, each to a depth of 150m (totaling 900m). The exact drilling locations will be determined by local access issues, site hydrology and environmental concerns. Based on the most recent geological mapping, the drilling angle of the boreholes will be 45' from vertical and orientated along a 120' azimuth. This azimuth was chosen as it is orthogonal to the dip direction. Boreholes are proposed to consist of 50m HQ diameter drilling, followed by 100m at NQ diameter. Locations have been chosen to maximize recovery from quartz veins, while taking into account significant mineralization as disseminations in granite.

The drill program will be conducted by Irish Drilling Limited of Loughrea, County Galaway, Ireland.

Mace Prospect

The Mace prospect is a porphyry molybdenum copper system at least two (2) kilometres in length. The mineralized area is outlined by a strong geochemical anomaly. The system was partially explored between 1968 and 1970 by drilling programs of over 2000 metres within an area measuring 1400 metres in length and up to 300 metres in width. The drill holes were shallow with all but one less than 50 metres in depth and widely spaced, except within a segment of about 200 metres by 200 metres. Assays from eight(8) diamond drill holes within this fairly completed segment across part of the zone indicated an average grade of 0.8% molybdenum and 0.07 copper from the portions of the core that were assayed (approximately 50%). Drilling indicated that the mineralized zone is continuous for more than a kilometer with a width of greater than 300 metres and a depth of more than 50 metres.

Hole DHH 13, the deepest hole (70 metres) intersected 6.1 metres of 0.11% molybdenum. The last 14.3 metres in hole DDH 22 assayed 0.15% molybdenum and 0.19% Cu.
