IHN will be conducting a series of in vitro studies to address the anti-inflammatory and neuro-protective mechanisms of cannabidiol. The first study will address the anti-inflammatory mechanism of CBD in response to the activation of pattern recognition receptors (PRR), which trigger inflammatory pathways in response to things such as bacteria and viruses. The activation of these pathways is central to the development of many chronic and autoimmune diseases such as systemic lupus erythematosus and Crohn’s disease. It is our intent to publish the results of these studies in quality peer-reviewed scientific journals.
