ATLANTA, GA / ACCESSWIRE / May 14, 2014 / Fresh Promise Foods, Inc. (OTC: FPFI) , a Georgia-based corporation supplying natural and organic health and wellness products, announced the addition of veteran food scientist David A. Baker, PhD., MPH, MS to the Fresh Promise Foods team as VP of Food Safety and Quality Management.

Dr. Baker brings more than 25 years of innovative food science and technology experience to the Company, with expertise in integrating food safety, regulatory compliance, quality assurance and risk management solutions. He also has significant experience in applying new technologies and methods to the food industry.  Previously, Dr. Baker was founder of food science consulting firm, David Baker & Associates, which served blue-chip clients across the global food industry.  Prior to that experience, David held key responsibilities for food safety and quality at some of the world’s largest food companies including Nestlé, McDonald’s, Unilever and Gold Kist.

Dr. Baker’s main role will be to help Fresh Promise remain compliant with FDA and USDA regulations, as well as manage key relationships with strategic suppliers and service providers like our High Pressure Processing partner. In addition, his expertise will be invaluable as the Company assesses possible target acquisitions, vertical market expansions, and joint ventures.
