Shares of Pfizer closed up a little over 4% on Monday with about 71.4 million shares traded. The company has a renewed interest in taking over UK rival AstraZeneca. People familiar with the matter are saying a bid would come in at more than $100B.

Shares of Charter Communications closed up 7.72% on Monday with about 7 million shares traded. The stock was one of the biggest gainers on the NASDAQ. A plan was revealed early Monday that would take effect after the close of Comcast and Time Warner Cable’s merger. Charter would acquire about 1.4 million of Time Warner Cable's current subscribers in a cash deal, taking its customer base from 4.4 million to 5.7 million.

Shares of Susser Holdings Corporation closed up 36.28% on about 4.1 million shares traded. The stock was one of the biggest gainers on the NYSE and hit a new yearly high of $80.00 during intra-day trading. Energy Transfer Partners LP announced that it will spend $1.8 billion to buy Susser Holdings Corp.
