American Realty Capital Properties Consider $6.5B Buyout of Northstar Realty Finance

Shares of NorthStar Realty Finance Corp. closed up nearly 8% on Monday after news revealed that American Realty Capital Properties is indiscussions to purchase NorthStar in a cash-and-stock deal that would value the company at more than $6.5 billion. This is according to a person familiar with the discussions.

Shares of American Realty Capital Properties closed down 3% on Monday with about 26.1 million shares traded. The stock was one of the most active stocks on the NASDAQ after it was revealed that American Realty is reportedly considering making a $20-per-share offer for Northstar Realty Finance, which would amount to a buyout price of roughly $6.5 billion.

Shares of Magellan Gold Corporation closed up 100% on Monday with about 755,000 shares traded. The stock was one of the biggest advancers in the OTCBB marketplace. The company has completed its two core holes at its Papago target located within the Company's 100% optioned Silver District project in La Paz County, Arizona. The program was extended to include a third core hole to test the Red Cloud vein which has also been completed.

Shares of PUGE closed down nearly 18% on Monday with about 575,000 shares traded. The stock was one of the biggest decliners in the OTCBB marketplace and sank to a new 52-week low of $0.25 during intra-day trading. The company is seeking to identify strategic acquisitions that will expand its service offering of third party logistics in order to strengthen the company’s position as a service center provider for the IdeaWerk 3D printer.
