London, U.K / ACCESSWIRE / April 25, 2014 / Just weeks after announcing the completion of “Valley of the Witch”, Hannover House, Inc. (OTC: HHSE), a leading U.S.A. producer and distributor of independent films, books and entertainment products, has set another, new feature production for release. “The Midnight Horror Show”, an intense and macabre thriller, will launch to DVD, Blu-Ray and Video-On-Demand platforms throughout North America this October. The 2014 production is from U.K. director Andrew Jones and Northbrook Entertainment is the third release venture between Jones and Hannover House this year. Of the eight new release horror titles set for 2014 from Hannover House, “Midnight Horror Show” is expected to be the company’s top seller.

“What can we say about director Andrew Jones that hasn’t already been widely reported?” said Eric Parkinson, C.E.O. of Hannover House. “He is incredibly creative, talented and prolific, and certainly no other filmmaker or director has provided three titles to Hannover House for release during the same year. We are impressed with the concept, performances and production values of his recent films and feel very confident that our primary retailers will strongly support these releases,” he concluded.

“The Midnight Horror Show” is a visual delight, set against a macabre, traveling carnival run by a rather twisted family of performers. The mood is intense, gothic and unique, with elements reminiscent of “Magic”, “Child’s Play” and “The Rocky Horror Picture Show.” Hannover House anticipates placement of DVDs and Blu-Ray units into its top retail accounts, including Walmart, Redbox, Netflix and Best Buy, as well as a strong launch into the various Video-On-Demand platforms and portals.

Although the film is not slated for theatrical release, Hannover House will take the unusual step of promoting the home video’s availability through “on-screen” ads to appear in movie theatres across the country. This theatrical exposure will promote the street date and tag key accounts, with access provided through National CineMedia and Screenvision.

“This is our third title from Andrew Jones, and looks to be our best seller to yet,” said Parkinson. “We look forward to moving ahead on this major video campaign, as well as the prospect of working with Andrew on some higher-profile, theatrical titles for 2015.”

Other notable horror and sci-fi releases for Hannover House for 2014, including titles already released this year are: “Amityville Asylum” (Jan. 7) from Northbrook Entertainment, “Zombie Warz: Falls the Shadow” (April 22, Walmart) from Dangerous Muse Productions; “To.Get.Her: The Spring Break Murders” (summer) from Film Sales Co. and director Erica Dunton; “Ingloda: The Possession Within” (summer) from On-Ride Entertainment; “Gabrielle” (summer) from Royal Blue Pictures; “Valley of the Witch” (September) from Northbrook Entertainment; “The Honeymoon” (Q4) from Lakefield Pictures; “Grim” (Q4) from All Channel Films and director Matty Johnson;

In addition to the core release activities of Hannover House in the entertainment packaged goods market, the company is expanding in 2014 into both the international arenas, and as a consolidator and outlet for video-on-demand programming. The international sales and financing activities are being handled through the recently launched Medallion International Pictures, and will be active this May at the Cannes Film Festival. Hannover House will release material news next week regarding its international sales launch.

The Video-On-Demand venture, a consumer streaming portal under VODwiz, Inc., will also launch this summer with more than 2,500 titles from more than ten studio suppliers, including Hannover House. The VODwiz website and IPTV venture has been described by the Media Analyst Group as “the Netflix of independent studios” based on the business model of offering movies for streaming both under a “pay-per-transaction” basis, as well as through a monthly subscription model.

Hannover House remains active in book publishing as well, with new release fiction and non-fiction books hitting the market this spring, including “Sable Shore” by James Danielson and “The Verdict: Justice for John F. Kennedy, Justice for America” by best-selling author Barr McClellan. The company’s first mainstream, non-soundtrack audio CD title is also shipping this month, with the national release of “Lennon Bermuda,” a tribute album to the legendary John Lennon, featuring tracks from Yoko Ono, Bryan Ferry and a notable list of international and Caribbean recording artists.

Key retail accounts for Hannover House include Walmart Stores, Inc., Redbox, Netflix, Barnes & Noble and thousands of independent video retailers, schools, libraries and booksellers. The company also sells entertainment products to a wide range of internet sites, and services most major video-on-demand portals. The company has been profitable for each of the past eighteen quarters, and feels that the 2014 and 2015 new activities will significantly increase both revenues and bottom line results. Hannover House stock is traded on the OTC Markets under ticker symbol: HHSE.
