Long Beach, CA / http://www.myprgenie.com/ / ACCESSWIRE / April 23, 2014 / Vision Industries (OTCBB: VIIC) debuted a law enforcement electric bicycle, the VBike, at the Boston Marathon.  Touted as a crowd-control tool at the Homeland Security Expo, held prior to Marathon Monday, a squad of six (6) VBikes were deployed by the Boston Police Department to patrol congested areas and the finish line of the Marathon.

The VBike features a 500 Watt electric motor, powered by a 48 Volt and 15Ahr Li-Ion battery, that allows a police officer to reach top speeds of 30 MPH.  Equipped with an ear-piercing siren and a loudspeaker, law enforcement personnel can effectively control and communicate with large crowds.   The VBikes were donated by Boston native, Bradley Birkenfeld and will be reviewed by the Boston Police Department for further modifications and future orders.  Vision intents to make the VBike available for law enforcement agencies and private security firms across the US.  The suggested Retail price for the bike is $2,499.00.
