Guelph, ON / ACCESSWIRE / April 14, 2014 / Dr. Gene Shelp, President and CEO of ENPAR Technologies Inc. (TSX-V:ENP) ("ENPAR" or "the Company"), is very pleased to announce that ENPAR is scheduled to deliver the small scale commercial ESD unit purchased by Eurodia (www.eurodia.com) of France. Eurodia will utilize this unit to demonstrate the efficacy of a combination of both companies' electrochemical techniques to its customers in the agro-food industry worldwide. This combination is aimed at replacing the ion exchange units currently used in the industry. The main benefits of doing so would be the reduction of both effluent loads and the consumption of chemicals.

Eurodia is a dynamic and innovative separation process company with more than 25 years of experience in the design, construction and operation of turnkey solution treatment systems consisting of ion exchange, electrodialysis, chromatography and filtration technologies. Eurodia's clients come from the dairy, wine, sugar, sweetener, starch and green (or bio-based) chemical industries. The main shareholder of Eurodia is Tokuyama Corporation (www.tokuyama.co.jp/eng), a major Japanese chemical company based in Chiyoda, Tokyo, Japan. In 1999, Eurodia established a subsidiary known as Ameridia, based in the U.S., as a branch office for North America.

Dr. Florence Lutin, Research and Development Manager for Eurodia of France stated, "Testing with the laboratory scale unit purchased by Eurodia in 2012 has gone extremely well when we worked with a reference stream out of a starch refinery and has demonstrated a final product quality meeting the industry standards. We look forward to moving to the next stage with the delivery of this small-scale commercial unit. Upon receipt, the unit will be installed at an industrial site located in Europe. We anticipate successful on-site testing will result in a full-scale commercial installation to treat a process stream expected to be in the 100-150 m3/hr range. The test program is expected to continue for a period of six months. "

Dr. Shelp commented, "With the successful testing using the lab-scale unit, Eurodia is now gaining confidence in the efficacy and viability of the technology. The small commercial unit is constructed with advanced composite materials developed through collaboration with one of Eurodia's sister companies. This unit will be used by Eurodia to demonstrate to its clients the synergistic benefits resulting from combining complementary leading edge technologies at a larger scale. We are extremely excited about the potential joint near-term business opportunities resulting from the success of the proposed on-site test program".
