Celgene Corporation Sued by Mylan Inc.; GRUBHUB Soars on its First Day of Trading

GRUBHUB closed up 30.77% on nearly 11 million shares traded this past Friday, making it one of the biggest gainers on the NYSE. The stock made its debut on the NYSE that day and surged to as high as $40.80 a share during intra-day trading. GrubHub makes money by charging restaurants a fee when users of the website place food orders. It targets independent eateries, which number 350,000 in America.

Shares of CELG closed down 4.33% on about 5 million shares traded on Friday. The stock was one of the biggest decliners on the NASDAQ. Last Thursday Mylan Inc. sued Celgene Corp to stop the latter's effort to keep generic versions of two drugs that generate $4.5 billion of annual sales off the market.

Shares of Visa closed down 3.40% on about 6.1 million shares traded. Last week Wal-Mart sued Visa over what it believes to be the illegal price fixing of swipe fees. Wal-Mart is seeking $5 billion in damages. Because it is an antitrust case, if Wal-Mart wins it may be able to claim a penalty of three times that amount.

Shares of ANYI closed up 125% this past Friday making it one of the biggest gainers in the OTCBB marketplace. The stock traded nearly 2.5 million shares. The company plans to introduce Weedhire.com a career website specifically targeting employment within the legal cannabis industry. The site will focus on providing job seekers a quick and easy way to find employment as well as employers to find legitimate employee candidates to work in their expanding businesses within the legal marijuana marketplace.
