Vancouver, B.C. / ACCESSWIRE / April 4, 2014 / BIG NORTH GRAPHITE CORP. (TSX-V: NRT) (OTC: BNCIF)(the "Company" or "Big North") announces that the Company has completed its largest sale of graphite to date during the month of March. In total, Big North shipped 403 tons of amorphous graphite to a customer within Mexico.

Further, Big North shipped amorphous graphite of two different grades. The Company shipped 153.5 tons of an 80% Cg product as well as 249.5 tons of 65-75% Cg. Both grades were sold as semi-processed, run-of-mine and sold in Mexico.

Spiro Kletas, Big North Graphite President commented, "We are pleased to report our largest sale to date of amorphous graphite. As previously stated, one of the Company's goals is to significantly increase our amorphous graphite business. This sale represents a significant volume increase and our goal is to continue to improve our processing capability, secure off-takes and further increase sales volume. Further, we are pleased to have shipped two different grades for the first time, a milestone for Big North."

The amorphous graphite that was produced, processed and sold came from a combination of purchased graphite from local feed mines and the Company's Nuevo San Pedro project, all located in Sonora Mexico.

Big North, through its Mexican subsidiary Grafito la Barranca SA de CV, holds a 100% interest in the Aki Wiki concession and has a 50/50 joint venture on the Nuevo San Pedro Project. Both concessions are located in the San Jose de Moradillas region, a region that has produced graphite for more than 100 years. San Jose de Moradillas is located approximately 45 kilometers southeast of the city of Hermosillo, Mexico.
