Aliso Viejo, United States / ACCESSWIRE / April 3rd, 2014 / 1st Nationwide Mortgage is pleased to make an announcement that they have entered into a business agreement with the Homes For Heroes Program, an established program throughout the U.S. providing the largest discounts on real estate transactions for firefighters, EMT, armed forces personnel, law enforcement officers, k-12 teachers, medical professionals, and other eligible individuals who offer the public a needed service.

Homes for Heroes claims that the program has helped heroes save a rising total of $4,800,000 to date. The Homes for Heroes program was established in 2002 following the catastrophe on September 11th, 2001. It allows lenders the chance of giving back to those who have given so much to their local communities.

Not all lenders are eligible to participate in the “Homes for Heroes” program. Homes for Heroes thoroughly investigates each of its potential lenders prior to them being given the go-ahead in becoming partner in the national program. Lenders must have no less than 10 years of experience working in their local area; needs to operate as a full service mortgage company ideally as an FDIC lender; must be a member in good standing with the California Association of Mortgage Professionals (CAMP) and FDIC, and their state’s licensing agency; must have and keep proper insurance coverage. Must be a member of their local Multiple Listing Service if available in their area. The lender is required to have a genuine commitment to provide for heroes.

1st Nationwide Mortgage encourages members of their respective communities to inquire about hometown hero eligibility and to take advantage of the program.
