MGM Resorts Advances on March Macau Casino Reports; KiOr Inc. Receives Funding From Venture Capitalist Vinod Khosla

MGM shares closed up a modest 2.59% on about 11.3 million shares traded on Tuesday. The stock’s positive activity came following March casino reports from Macau. According to information posted to the Macau government website, casino revenue grew 13.1% to 35.45 billion patacas for the month of March. The revenue is at the high end of analysts' forecasts for gambling revenue in the region.

Shares of SunEdison closed up 4.67% on about 14.8 million shares traded. The stock had one of the biggest volume jumps on the NYSE. On March 27th, the solar technology manufacturer and provider of solar energy services announced that they have shipped over 1 GW (gigawatt) of Silvantis™ Solar PV modules, making them one of the top 5 solar module manufacturers in the world.

Shares of KiOR closed up 46.39% on Tuesday with about 14.2 million shares traded. The stock was one of the biggest gainers on the NASDAQ. The company has received funding from venture capitalist Vinod Khosla. In March, the biodiesel producer said its operations were under considerable financial strain and that if it didn't have a debt deal finalized by April 1, it would not be able to continue as a going concern.

Shares of KNSC closed up 150% on Tuesday with 1.7 billion shares traded. The stock had one of the biggest volume advances in the OTC market as well as one of the biggest gains. The company came out with a statement saying that management’s opinion is that its current entry into the marijuana advertising space or a portal that will uniquely service that industry space is the driving force behind this sudden surge.
