BlackBerry Wins Preliminary Injunction against Ryan Seacrest’s Typo Products; Red Hat Tumbles on Weak Guidance

BBRY shares closed down 7.07% on Friday with nearly 75 million shares traded. The stock was one of the biggest decliners on the NASDAQ despite winning a preliminary injunction on Friday to ban Ryan Seacrest's Typo Products LLC from selling a $99 iPhone case. The judge agreed that television host's company had likely infringed on BlackBerry's patents.

Shares of Idera Pharmaceuticals closed up 17.78% on Friday with about 19.7 million shares traded. The stock was one of the biggest gainers on the NASDAQ and had one of the biggest volume increases. The company announced positive top-line data from its randomized, double-blind, placebo controlled Phase 2 trial of IMO-8400 in 32 patients with moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis. The primary objective of the trial was to evaluate the safety and tolerability of IMO-8400 over a 12-week treatment period, with a secondary objective to evaluate the clinical activity of IMO-8400.

Shares of RHT closed down nearly 7% on Friday with about 7 million shares traded. The stock was one of the biggest decliners on the NYSE after management guided for below-consensus first-quarter and full-year results. The company said it expects revenue between $412 million and $415 million for its first quarter ending May. Analysts surveyed by Thomson Reuters forecast sales of $414.98 million, at the high-end of management's range.

Shares of ENRT closed up 40.48% on about 1.8 million shares traded. The stock was one of the biggest gainers in the OTC market and trading volume was roughly double compared to average. Last week the company announced that Dr. Robert Melamede, Ph.D. and current President at Cannabis Science (CBIS) has joined the Advisory board of Enertopia.
