ATLANTA, GA / ACCESSWIRE / March 27, 2014 / Fresh Promise Foods, Inc. (OTCQB: FPFI) a developer, processor and marketer of healthy, better-for-you food and beverage products is proud  to report successful completion of key project milestones in its plans to launch its first consumer product offering, which will begin hitting the market in the second quarter of this year.

The Company has completed formulation work for its first new beverage product, including finalization of key ingredients – a proprietary mix of fruits, vegetables, and other "superfood" components.  It has also completed nutrient assay and initial qualitative research work, focused on developing a totally unique taste profile, but also a possibly category-changing product benefit – with very positive initial feedback to the prototype. Branding, naming, packaging, and IP (intellectual property)/trademark work is complete, as well as initial launch plans – that will include distribution, retailer selection, communication plans, and digital/social/mobile marketing components.

The first branded product offering will introduce an entirely new beverage concept to the market, which at a minimum will redefine a major subcategory of the blended juices sector, but which could possibly define an entirely new beverage category, based on the physical characteristics of the product and the health benefits afforded.  Pending success of the initial launch, the Company plans to introduce up to four discrete product/brand profiles to the market – each with its own unique benefit structure to address specific consumer, daypart, and beverage occasion needs.   Importantly, the Company has begun pilot testing the production facility and High Pressure Processing options, of which the initial results were very positive.

"I am very pleased with the rapid progress that the team has made," said Kevin P. Quirk, CEO, Fresh Promise Foods, Inc. "I have been even more impressed with the amount of work done  in a short period of time to get our first product to market. Much of our efforts have been in the "behind the scenes" arena, especially the technical and IP work.  But most of the planning is done and now we are entering the true execution phase—which is where the plan comes to life. We are literally developing one of the coolest, most well positioned brands in the beverage industry, which we believe will be a true category creator. The brand will be very on-trend with what is happening in the food industry, broadly:  all-natural, Organic and Non-GMO, which we know is what retailers, consumers, and shoppers are increasingly expecting."

Quirk continued:  "I see no reason why we should not be able to be a million dollar brand this year with this entrant in a growing high-margin category and the management team we have assembled.  The future looks very promising at Fresh Promise Foods."
