Dr. Geraci brings his unique expertise in data science, neuroscience, clinical biomarker development, and algorithm creation to Open Source Health. His work focuses on using mathematical methods to construct models of disease and wellness that go beyond the classical top-down clinical definitions, and it will bolster Open Source Health's suite of patient care programs and strategic research initiatives. He will report directly to CEO, Sonya Satveit, as they oversee Open Source Health's nanotechnology development and healthcare informatics outreach along with the Company's competitive data strategy.

Dr. Joseph Geraci will continue to spend a portion of his time at Queen's University, as an Assistant Professor in the Dept. of Pathology and Molecular Medicine and as a Scientific Associate at the University Health Network (UHN) in Psychiatry. His work at Queen's is focused on cancer biomarker development and novel treatment approaches, whereas at UHN he is leading the advanced data analysis approaches for CANBIND - a cross Canada depression study funded by the Ontario Brain Institute, CIHR, Lundbeck, and Servier. Dr. Geraci's clinical and scientific experience with depression will play a critical role during our exploration of several issues including postpartum mood disorders and in the development of the resulting technological devices and algorithms.
