Cassandra Segoviano is honored this month in Change Magazine’s current issue, which features “Women Creating Change” in celebration of National Women’s History Month.

Houston, United States / ACCESSWIRE / March 12th, 2014 / Segoviano gained notice for her blog Business Five-O (www.BusinessFive-O.com), in which she advocates for the under-represented 50-plus business owner. Segoviano once worked her magic for luminaries such as Beyoncé, Kelly Roland and the late Governor Ann Richards; now she has come to the rescue of the baby boomer business owner.

“Women Creating Change’ recognizes visionary women in our community who are making history by turning ideas into action to create positive change,” says Carla Medlenka, publisher and editor-in-chief of Change Magazine. Honorees are selected from nominations sent in by the magazine’s Houston area readers.

“The Internet is truly the new wild, wild West, especially for business owners who didn’t grow up with computers,” says Segoviano, a marketing strategist, speaker and software developer. She designed the free Business Five-O blog to help older business owners remain relevant and competitive in today’s rapidly evolving market. More than 22,000 people subscribe to access her weekly updates from Internet experts, direct response marketers, and customer satisfaction coaches. Topics include social media strategy, online etiquette, search engine optimization, and dealing with online reviews, all tailored to the needs of the boomer business owner.

Mary Hooper, owner of Dermatek Skin Therapy, says she was thrilled to nominate Segoviano as a “Woman Creating Change.” “Cassandra has certainly changed me, and the way I market my business. I may not be the most tech-savvy, but mature business owners like me still have our years of experience and expertise to offer. She has created a bridge for us, so that we are not left behind. I don’t see anyone else addressing this very real problem.”
National Women’s History Month reminds people of the many women whose efforts create change, like Cassandra Segoviano, and gives them the opportunity to celebrate their accomplishments.
