Irish Highlights

In County Wicklow, en route to Dublin from Limerick, Trafalgar guests get the special treatment on the 8-day Irish Highlights trip by visiting the Glenealy Farmhouse, home to Catherine Fulvio, a celebrated cookbook author and television host. The third generation of Fulvios to inhabit the farmhouse, Catherine and her Sicilian husband run a bed & breakfast out of the main house and have started a renowned cooking school in the old milk parlour. As Catherine shares the family's history at Gleneary House, guests sit down to a three-course meal prepared by the award-winning cook, consisting of heartwarming carrot and cumin soup, Wicklow beef stew in a stout sauce with mash and vegetables, and slow-baked apple and carrot cake that made from an old Fulvio family recipe.

Irish Experience

This 12-day journey takes guests from the North to the South of Ireland where they'll experience both urban city and 'emerald,' countryside. Starting in Dublin, guests board a canal barge for a Welcome Reception complete with food and drinks as they cruise along Dublin's 200 year old Canal. Heading north to Belfast, Londonderry, Galway and Killarney, guests will enjoy the stunning views from the countryside. In Killarney, travellers are taken back in time with a Be My Guest dinner on a traditional Irish farm where they'll enjoy tales from the storyteller, listen to wonderful music and indulge in traditional Irish stew and soda bread. The journey ends in Dublin with a Farewell Dinner with their Travel Director and newfound friends where they can reminisce about the wonderful places they saw, delicious food they ate and wonderful memories they made.

Scenic Ireland

With a focus on taking guests to the most picturesque parts of the country, the 9-day Scenic Ireland offers up the perfect opportunity to explore the Irish countryside at a relaxed pace. The trip starts with a few days in lively Dublin, where guests will receive a morning tour with a local guide then enjoy a day of free time to explore the city by themselves with a hop-on-hop-off sightseeing ticket. Next, a visit to Blarney Castle means guests can get the Irish gift of gab as they tilt themselves upside down to kiss the infamous Blarney Stone. At the breathtaking Dingle Peninsula, Europe's most westerly point, Trafalgar passengers are treated to a special Be My Guest dinner on a beautiful family-owned farm, where they will dine with locals and savour traditional Irish fare. Traveling on to Killaloe on Lough Derg, guests will finish their journey with a Guinness stew and soda bread cooking demonstration, which they'll get to enjoy afterwards.
