Markets surged Tuesday as Federal Reserve Chairwoman Janet Yellen's testimony signaled continuity in monetary policy. The Dow Jones gained 1.22 percent, while the S&P 500 Index rallied 1.11 percent, now down just 1.55 percent for the year. "Many of the risks everyone had their eyes on for 2014 are quickly being cleared away," said Kristina Hooper, head of U.S. investment strategies for Allianz Global Investors. Here is how some S&P 500 companies reacted Tuesday:

ConAgra Foods, Inc. (NYSE: CAG) shares traded in the range of $28.60 to $29.60 Tuesday before settling to close at $29.08, a decrease of 6.34 percent. The stock appears to be facing some resistance at the $30.09, 30.35 and $30.73 levels. Shares of ConAgra Foods have fallen approximately 13.0 percent year-to-date.

Pioneer Natural Resources (NYSE: PXD) shares traded in the range of $177.19 to $185.29 Tuesday before settling to close at $180.66, a decrease of 3.35 percent. The stock appears to be facing some resistance at the $184.07 and $188.53 levels with some support at $177.94 and $164.56. Shares of Pioneer have fallen approximately 2.0 percent year-to-date.

Tripadvisor Inc. (NASDAQ: TRIP) shares traded in the range of $83.06 to $85.19 Tuesday before settling to close at $84.20, an increase of 0.18 percent. The stock appears to be facing some resistance at the $86.80 and $88.45 levels with some support at $83.78 and $81.90. Shares of Tripadvisor have gained approximately 2.0 percent year-to-date.

The stock appears to be facing some resistance at the $29.77 and $30.23 levels with some support at $29.07. Shares of Zoetis have fallen approximately 10.0 percent year-to-date.
