Omeros Corporation (NASDAQ: OMER) shares jumped 4.89 percent to close at $11.80 a share Wednesday. The stock traded between $11.62 and $12.91 on volume 1.41 million shares traded. The company announced that OMS824, a treatment for Huntington's disease, has been granted Fast Track designation by the FDA. Shares of Omeros have are up approximately 5.0 percent year-to-date.

Plug Power Inc. (NASDAQ: PLUG) shares declined 6.42 percent to close at $3.06 a share Wednesday. The stock traded between $3.02 and $3.23 on volume of 12.43 million shares traded. Cowen analysts Robert Stone and James Medvedeff visited the company’s factory and in a recent note stated that the company could become profitable by the end of 2014. Shares of Plug Power have gained nearly 100.0 percent year-to-date.
