Sprint Corporation (NYSE: S) shares closed up 8.42 percent on Wednesday with nearly 59 million shares traded. The stock was one of the biggest gainers on the NYSE and also had one of the biggest volume advances. SoftBank Corp.’s founder Masayoshi Son and Sprint Corp. (S) Chief Executive Officer Dan Hesse plan to decide in the next few weeks whether to move ahead on a bid for T-Mobile US Inc. after speaking with U.S. regulators.

Apple Inc. (NASDAQ: AAPL) shares closed up a modest 0.75 percent on Wednesday with about 11.7 million shares traded. According to Apple Insider, Apple reached a 19.5-percent slice of global, combined PC and tablet sales in the fourth calendar quarter of 2013, giving it a larger share of unit sales than both Dell and Hewlett-Packard combined.

Hemp, Inc. (OTC: HEMP) shares closed up 14.64 percent on Wednesday with nearly 200 million shares traded. The stock was one of the biggest gainers in the OTC market.   Resource Ventures, Inc. announced that they have secured the consulting services of Hemp, Inc.'s (OTC: HEMP) subsidiary, The Industrial Hemp and Medical Marijuana Consulting Company, Inc. (IHMMCC). The Industrial Hemp and Medical Marijuana Consulting Company is a wholly owned subsidiary of Hemp, Inc.

CH Robinson Worldwide Inc. (NASDAQ: CHRW) shares closed down 9.35 percent on Wednesday with about 10.1 million shares traded. The stock was one of the biggest decliners in the NASDAQ and hit a new 52-week low of $52.50 during intra-day trading. The company reported weaker-than-expected earnings this week. CH Robinson reported a quarterly net income of 62 cents a share, 6 cents short of consensus according to analysts surveyed by Thomson Reuters. Revenue of $3.15 billion fell below expectations of $3.27 billion.
