Newmont Mining Corporation (NYSE: NEM) shares closed down 10.37 percent this past Friday with about 35 million shares traded. The stock was one of the biggest decliners in the market and hit a new 52-week low of $21.27 during intra-day trading. The company had recently announced that it had achieved 2013 production targets and provided its 2014 outlook. Over the fourth quarter, the miner achieved attributable gold production of 1.5 million ounces, resulting in full-year attributable production of 5.1 million ounces, at the top end of its guidance range of 4.8 to 5.1 million ounces.

Zynga, Inc. (NASDAQ: ZNGA) shares closed up 23.60 percent on Friday with about 170 million shares traded. The stock was one of the biggest gainers that day and one of the most active on the NASDAQ coming just 5 cents shy of its 52-week high during intra-day trading. The big gain came after Zynga revealed better-than-expected fourth-quarter results, a new acquisition, and plans to reduce its workforce by 15%.

KonaRed Corporation (OTCBB: KRED) shares closed down 8.06 percent on about 3.5 million shares traded this past Friday. The stock was one of the biggest decliners in the OTCBB marketplace. The company announced that 10X World Champion Paddleboarder Jamie Mitchell has re-signed with the Company as one of its Ambassadors and spokespersons. KonaRed Corporation are the developers of the powerful Hawaiian Coffee Fruit wellness beverage which is sold in select Whole Foods, Safeway, Sprouts, 7-Eleven, and many other retail outlets throughout the U.S. and Canada.

Hemp, Inc. (OTC: HEMP) shares closed up 17.93 percent on nearly 120 million shares traded. The stock was one of the biggest gainers in the OTC market. The company announced on January 30th that it has signed a "Letter of Intent" (LOI) with VaporBrands International, Inc. (VAPR). Both Marijuana, Inc. and VaporBrands International, Inc. have agreed to form a joint venture whereby Marijuana, Inc. will assist VaporBrands International with the development and distribution of specialized marijuana vaporizing products. The products will be sold, primarily, through existing medical marijuana dispensary networks and traditional outlets for electronic cigarettes in the non-medical cannabis market outlets.
