Copper Cowboy Resources Inc. ("Copper Cowboy" or the "Company") reports that it has initiated its exploration program on two PLs covering 279.16 km2 and 225.34 km2 in the Handeni area of east central United Republic of Tanzania.
Large scale equipment including two dozers and an excavator were active on the Bondo Area where visible gold was found in the soil above the outcrops of vein material up to 1 metre wide as reported previously. [Grab and 1 metre wide chip samples have returned values of 82 grams per tonne (g/t); and 20.4 g/t from pits along the east ridge and 58 g/t, 34 g/t and 40.7 & 36.9 g/t from pits along the west ridge].
Trenching in the area between the two ridges has identified a zone of quartz pebbles in the alluvium with visible gold. An identified zone of auriferous quartz rubble on the top of the west ridge stratigraphicaly above the reported sampled vein could be the source of this alluvial gold zone. It suggests that a stacking of shallow dipping gold veins could be located in the area. The area of area of mineralization outlined to date is 1200 m by 400 m. and has been traced to another area 2000 m to the south west.
Trenching and bulk testing of the gold zones is ongoing on this part of the property and plans for exploration on the rest of the PLs are being developed.
The company President, Michael Mulberry, on site to assist in directing the exploration, said, "It is quite encouraging to see the amount of progress we have made with the Holiday breaks. There is good potential to expand and develop the known bedrock mineralization."
