January 8, 2014 - AMERICAN VANADIUM CORP. ("American Vanadium" or the "Company") (TSX.V: AVC) (OTCQX: AVCVF) reports that it has granted 150,000 compensation shares to Michael Hyslop, Director of Corporate Development, to be issued as to 50,000 shares upon TSX Venture Exchange approval (which has been received) and 25,000 shares on each of March 31, 2014, June 30, 2014, Sept 30, 2014 and December 31, 2014.

The securities have not been registered under the United States Securities Act of 1933, as amended, or any state securities laws and may not be offered or sold in the United States absent registration thereunder or an applicable exemption from such registration requirements.
