Tesla Motors Inc (NASDAQ:TSLA) shares gained 2.74% to $155.56 in the pre-market hour. Levi & Korsinsky on Dec. 24 announces that a class action lawsuit has been commenced in the USDC for the Northern District of California on behalf of investors who purchased Tesla Motors, Inc. ("Tesla" or the "Company") (NASDAQ: TSLA) common stock between May 10, 2013 and November 6, 2013.

Additionally, the company on Dec. 18 said its Model S and charging system didn’t cause a fire in a Southern California garage last month. While there was a fire at the wall socket where the vehicle was plugged in, the car itself wasn’t part of the fire, Palo Alto, California-based Tesla said in e-mailed comments. Investigators can’t conclude whether the fire started in the wall socket or was caused by the charger, and found it had nothing to do with the battery, Steve Concialdi, a spokesman for the Orange County Fire Authority, said by phone.

Amazon.com, Inc.(NASDAQ:AMZN) shares gained 0.37% to $401 in the pre-market hour. The company on Dec. 26 announced that on Christmas Day, the average response time when a customer tapped the Mayday button on Kindle Fire HDX was just 9 seconds, faster than the response time goal of 15 seconds. Thousands of Mayday Tech Advisors across the U.S. were available on Christmas Day to take calls from customers.

Additionally, Amazon Web Services, Inc. (AWS), an Amazon.com company (AMZN), on Dec. 20 announced the availability of I2 instances, the next generation of Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) storage-optimized high I/O instances based on solid state disk (SSD) technology that provides customers with very high random I/O performance. I2 instances deliver more processing power with the advances of the Intel® Xeon® E5-2670 v2 (formerly code-named Ivy Bridge-EP) processor, provide enhanced networking with lower latency, low jitter, and very high packet-per-second performance, and are capable of delivering more than 365,000 random read Input/Output Operations Per Second (IOPS) and more than 315,000 random write IOPS across eight 800GB SSD instance storage volumes.

eBay Inc (NASDAQ:EBAY) shares declined 1.02% to $54.61 in the pre-market hour. The company on Dec. 19 announced it completed its previously announced acquisition of Braintree, the innovative global payment platform powering the next generation of leading online and mobile-first startups. In accordance with the terms of the acquisition agreement announced September 26, 2013, eBay acquired Braintree for total consideration of approximately $800 million in cash.

Braintree will now operate as a separate service within PayPal under the leadership of Braintree CEO Bill Ready, who will report to PayPal President David Marcus and has joined PayPal’s executive staff.
