The company was one of the most active stocks in the NYSE and hit a new 52-week high of $29.85 during intra-day trading. X was one of a few stocks in the steel and related industries that saw gains on Tuesday.

Unique Pizza & Subs Corp. (OTC: UPZS) shares closed down 31.58 percent on Tuesday with about 31 million shares traded. The stock was one of the biggest decliners in the OTC market. The company has had no significant news in weeks to explain the decline.

Alcoa Inc. (NYSE: AA) shares closed up a modest 2.27 percent on Tuesday with about 14.2 million shares traded. The stock was one of the most active stocks in the NYSE and hit a new 52-week high of $10.40 during intra-day trading. The company launched a proprietary surface finishing technology, ProStrength. The technology will allow consumer electronics companies to use aerospace-grade aluminum to reduce the weight and thickness and increase the sturdiness of mobile devices.
