SRG Launches New Website
MAHWAH, NJ, September 18, 2013 – (Accesswire) - InterCore Energy, Inc. (OTCQB: ICOR) is pleased to announce that the ADS[TM] System technology owned by its wholly-owned subsidiary, SRG, Inc., is set to begin its first smartphone usage in commercial vehicles by the end of this month, when a major insurance company plans to have the technology deployed in up to 1,000 trucks it insures. This follows on the heels of an important smartphone compatibility test that was completed earlier this month with overwhelming success. The ADS[TM] System technology is used through a dedicated smartphone app, with the smartphone attached to the dashboard of over-the-road trucks, to provide drivers and dispatchers with predictive alerts of the driver’s impending loss of alertness up to 2 hours before the potential onset of sleep.
The ADS[TM] System, in development for more than a decade, utilizes biometric monitoring of 524 points of the driver’s eyes, face, and head to evaluate when the alertness of the driver is diminishing. It then alerts the driver and selected third parties (such as trucking dispatch centers or, in private applications, friends or parents) of the impending loss of alertness. The alert is given sufficiently in advance so that appropriate action can be taken before the driver becomes a hazard on the road. For fleet operators, the goal is to provide sufficient time for dispatch to direct the driver to a safe location to pull off and take a rest. This is in contrast to the performance of virtually all other available alertness detection systems, which are merely reactive – advising a driver that his/her skills are already impaired or that they have already experienced momentary episodes of sleep, but offering little or no ability for timely preventive actions to be taken.
Mr. Claude Brun, ICOR’s CEO, said: “The last few months have been intense as we’ve moved from the original platform of stand-alone ADS[TM] System units to the exciting smartphone app. The upcoming 1,000-unit program is the first part of our previously-announced arrangement with a major insurance company to implement a program that could involve up to 80,000 vehicles. Additionally, we are pleased to announce the launch of our new website – www.SRGint.com – as another step in our continuing progress in the commercialization of the ADS[TM] System.”
In July 2013, SRG had announced that a commercial insurance brokerage company in Canada had commenced a 100-vehicle test of the ADS[TM] System that was quickly expanded to 150 vehicles. Subsequently, the brokerage company asked to further expand the demonstration to 600 vehicles. However, since the ADS[TM]System was no longer being produced as a standalone device this request was deferred in favor of continuing to develop the smartphone app.
