Calgary, AB (August 27 , 2013) - Expander Energy was awarded Canadian Patent No. 2,776,369 for its innovative enhancement to the Fischer-Tropsch process in a GTL environment. The patented process has significant commercial applications in the field processing of raw natural gas.
Expander's EFT(R) process involves the manufacturing of high performance, ultra-clean burning synthetic fuel: SynDiesel(R) and SynJet(R). SynDiesel(R) and SynJet fuels(R) substantially reduce nitrous oxide and particulate matter and are an efficient transportation fuel with lower greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions when compared with petroleum diesel and other transportation fuels. SynDiesel(R) and SynJet(R) can also be very effective in that they can be blended with petroleum based diesel and jet fuels to enhance their performance.
Expander's EFT(R) process enhances existing gasification and Fischer-Trospsch technology by managing and retaining carbon within the system, thereby eliminating low value by-products and converting natural gas feedstock into high value synthetic fuels.
"With the surplus of natural gas in the market today, the differential between the prices of gas to synthetic diesel fuel makes this a very profitable venture. The EFT(R) process for GTL is complementary to our FTCrude(R) process for the heavy oil industry," says James Ross Expander's CEO.
New updates to our website include - "Bitumen Upgrader Residue Conversion to Incremental Synthetic Fuels Products, technical paper" and "FTCrude(R) Bitumen & Heavy Oil Upgrader Technology power point presentation", presented at the 2013 Canadian Heavy Oil Congress Conference, both written and presented by Jan Wagner and Steve Kresnyak.
About Expander Energy
