SAN ANTONIO, TX, August 9, 2013 - Competitive Companies, Inc. “CCI” (OTCQB: CCOP), a leading developer of “Intelligent Community” technologies, announced today that the Company has signed a multi-city “Tier One” contract with Level 3 Communications. Level 3 is a Fortune 500 Company operating as an American multinational telecommunications and Internet Service Provider headquartered in Broomfield, Colorado and is the largest competitive local exchange carrier (CLEC) in the United States.
The Agreement provides CCI tier one connections to more than 500 markets in 55 countries covering a global services platform anchored by “owned” fiber optic networks on three continents and connected by extensive undersea facilities. Additionally, Level 3 owns more than 180 buildings within the United States. The significance of the Level 3 “owned” buildings is that it allows CCI instant interconnection facilities in prime vantage point locations in 180 major U.S. markets.
The Level 3 Contract calls for CCI to open network facilities in Ten U.S. Cities by the end of 2013 enabling the Company to provide its “high capacity” Internet services to both private and public enterprises. As a result of the tier one connection, CCI is able to offer bandwidth intensive services such as public safety cameras and private video surveillance to key downtown business locations and facilities. Most recently, CCI, through its wholly owned entity, Capaciti Networks, Inc. has successfully completed two public safety camera networks in the central business district of Columbus, Ohio.
