New York City, New York -- (June 04, 2013)

U.S. equity market kicked off June on a solid note as all three benchmark indexes finished higher on Monday, June 3, 2013. Stocks struggled initially on Monday as investors digested some disappointing economic data. However, the weak economic data once again raised hopes that the Federal Reserve will continue with its bond buying program as economic recovery remains fragile. The Fed’s ultra-loose monetary policy has been one of the reasons for the huge rally in U.S. stock market this year. The financial sector also moved higher yesterday, tracking gains in the broader market. The major movers in the sector included American Realty Capital Properties Inc. (NASDAQ: ARCP), Ocwen Financial Corp. (NYSE: OCN), CBRE Group Inc. (NYSE: CBG), Zions Bancorporation (NASDAQ: ZION), and Brookfield Office Properties Inc. (USA) (NYSE: BPO).
