ABC Action News Reports on Successful Repigmentation of Face and Hands
SCHAUMBURG, IL -- Wellness Center USA, Inc. (OTCQB: WCUI), a Schaumburg, IL - alternative healthcare, medical device solutions and online nutraceutical sales company, is pleased to announce that wholly-owned subsidiary Psoria-Shield’s flagship product Psoria-Light® was featured by ABC Action News for its successful treatment of a Vitiligo patient.
ABC Action News reporter Linda Hurtado filmed a patient, distressed by her Vitiligo, who has been treated successfully at the Forman Dermatology clinic in Tampa, FL. Vitiligo is a disorder wherein the pigmentation process of the skin is attacked by the immune system. In this case, the patient’s Vitiligo was spreading, on both her face and hands. She had tried other treatments and failed. Dr. Seth Forman suggested Targeted UV Phototherapy treatment using the Psoria-Light technology. Targeted UV Phototherapy involves issuing large doses of UV light directly to the affected skin - only. The results captured in the ABC televised piece are astonishing and can be viewed at:
Dr. Seth Forman, who performed the treatment at his independent clinic, presented the results of the procedure using a Wood’s Lamp, which takes pictures under ultraviolet light. With the help of Wood’s Lamp photography, any areas of the skin affected by Vitiligo “glow” white. Dr. Forman’s before and after Wood’s Lamp images and videos distinctly demonstrated there was no white presence following completion of treatment program.
The patient commented on her experience, “you’ve probably seen people in a store who caught your attention because they’re discolored, like part of their skin is tanned and part isn’t. Just to see those ‘before and after’ pictures were enough for me to say, you know what, I’ve done something for myself. I went out there and found a treatment so now I can save my face. I can walk in the store and no one is going to look at me like ''Oh...”
“Our recent success in treating Vitiligo is just the beginning of what have in store for the treatment of skin diseases. In our ongoing trials, Psoria-Light is proving to be as good of a solution, if not better, in treating skin ailments, including Eczema, Psoriasis and more. I am confident we have more good news coming for dermatologists and patients alike. Skin diseases are making life miserable for more than 12% of the general population and much higher rates in combat soldiers and veterans of war,” continued Mr. Scot Johnson, CEO and founder of Psoria-Shield Inc.
Andrew J. Kandalepas, CEO and Chairman of Wellness Center USA, Inc., added “a few weeks earlier FOX News covered a similarly uplifting human story taking place at our CNS-Wellness clinic in Tampa, where brain treatment is giving hope to a severely beaten sexual assault victim. I am proud of our success in bringing CNS-Wellness and Psoria-Shield Inc., under the public entity Wellness Center USA, Inc., creating a dynamic drug free solutions network, for the good of humanity and our shareholders.”
Psoria-Light is FDA and CE cleared for class II medical applications. It has been developed and is being manufactured at Psoria-Shield’s FDA and ISO certified facility in Tampa, Florida. Psoria-Light therapies are fully covered by Medicare as well as private insurance carriers.
