Foley said that the HTC 8X that she had on loan saw the email client and Microsoft Account on the handset going into an endless loop of trying to resync and the phone even spontaneously rebooted one morning.

Tech Spot which did a quick check of Microsoft support forum saw that lots of others users ere reporting similar problems.

When the editor of Tech Spot contacted Microsoft, the company said that it was investigating reports of these incidents, suggesting that it must have been receiving a lot of complaints about it.

China's search engine Baidu.com, Inc. (ADR)(NASDAQ:BIDU) said on Wednesday it is raising $1.5 billion in two tranches via a bond sale to pay down debt and also to strengthen its war chest.

Kaiser Kuo, Baidu’s director of international communications, said that proceeds from the sale will be used for acquisitions both in China and abroad: “We want to be ready to invest opportunistically as good deals present themselves. We are not limiting ourselves to investments in the mobile sector, though mobile is certainly one of our priorities.”

Customers will no longer have to wait for their iPhone 5 to arrive as Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) seems to have fixed the problem of short supply of the device.

Piper Jaffray's Gene Munster who has been keeping checks on the availability of the phone said that stocks had shown significant improvement over the past 10 days.

"We believe," he concludes, "that within the next two weeks that customers will be able to purchase iPhone 5s at Apple Stores same day."

VIVUS, Inc. (NASDAQ:VVUS) shares soared 14% to $11.78 as In a Clinical Policy Bulletin revision dated November 20, 2012, Aetna (AET) specified criteria under which the insurer considers weight reduction medications as "medically necessary" for treatment of obesity. Aetna stated, "For members whose medical policies do not exclude weight reduction medications or services and supplies for or related to weight reduction programs, Aetna covers [the following] drugs under the medical benefit, not the pharmacy benefit."

Among the medications that have been approved by the FDA for weight reduction which would be covered under its policy, Aetna listed Qsymia, marketed by VIVUS (VVUS), Belviq from Arena Pharmaceuticals (ARNA), Didrex from Pfizer's (PFE) Pharmacia unit, Roche's (RHHBY) Xenical, and GlaxoSmithKline's (GSK) Alli.
