Finance Websites Team Up with BigMarker.com to Offer Educational Web Conferences in Time for Tax Season

(Chicago, IL – January 28 2012) – Betterment (www.betterment.com), the smart way to invest online, and SaveUp (www.saveup.com), a nationwide rewards program for saving money and reducing debt, have volunteered their time to present live, educational sessions on BigMarker.com (www.bigmarker.com), a social media site that provides communities with free web conferencing and collaboration tools.

These sessions will take place on February 2 and February 8, 2012 as part of the All Things Financial series (http://www.bigmarker.com/allthingsfinancial), a collection of free financial web conferences. SaveUp is committed to reducing financial anxiety for the average family by providing a fun, free tool and educational videos for people who are looking to get their finances under control. Every time a SaveUp user saves money in their own bank account or pays down their debts, they earn SaveUp credits. With these credits, users can play for exciting prizes like vacations, cars, electronics, and cash up to $2,000,000.

Betterment provides the next step in financial fitness – a simple and accessible way to grow your wealth. Users fund their Betterment investment account by electronically linking to their checking account, allowing for quick and easy transfers between accounts.

“I founded Betterment because I wanted to make investing more accessible and easy to do. Sharing knowledge and advice with our community is core to this mission,” said Jon Stein, CEO and founder of Betterment. “We’re excited to be working with BigMarker and SaveUp to help people take control of their finances.”

SaveUp’s CEO and co-founder, Priya Haji voiced a similar sentiment, “Our mission is to help motivate Americans to improve their long term financial health. We want saving to be fun and something to look forward by making personal finance a rewarding experience. We believe that knowledge is an essential part to financial success. We are excited to be a part of BigMarker’s personal finance interactive series with a great company like Betterment.”

BigMarker is also excited to help out by hosting the Conferences. Caryn Wille, BigMarker’s Media and Design Analyst, said, “As tax season draws nearer, we are hoping to provide a helpful service that can relieve some of the stresses associated with personal finances. We are ecstatic to be hosting a lineup of presenters who are passionate about educating people about their finances.”

All events will have limited seating, so reserving a spot in advance is recommended. Volunteer presenters include Betterment CEO, Jon Stein, SaveUp’s CEO, Priya Haji, Jenny Kerr of The Jenny Pincher, and Tim Porter, a Registered Financial Consultant. A complete list of Conference topics and times is available at the All Things Financial Community on BigMarker.com (http://www.bigmarker.com/allthingsfinancial).
