The Zero-Emission School Buses Were Delivered on Time Per the SCAQMD Grant Guidelines, Leaving Competitors to Pay a Daily Penalty for Missing the Grant Delivery Deadline Until their Buses are Operational

CORONA, CA / ACCESSWIRE / October 16, 2018 / ADOMANI, Inc. (NASDAQ: ADOM), a provider of advanced zero-emission and hybrid vehicle drivetrain solutions and purpose-built electric vehicles, announced today that the first seven zero-emission all-electric school buses "Powered by ADOMANI®" have been delivered to California schools by Blue Bird on time in accordance with the South Coast Air Quality Management District's (SCAQMD) grant guidelines for delivery by September 30, 2018. A-Z Bus Sales has reported that these buses were the only zero-emission all-electric school buses delivered on time under this SCAQMD grant funding.

"We believe that our strategic partnership with Blue Bird, the nation's leader in manufacturing alternative-fueled school buses, and Blue Bird's dealership in California, A-Z Bus Sales, has resulted in a synergy of technology, production, service and support that will allow us to continue to deliver reliable and quality products on time," said Rick Eckert, Chief Operations Officer of ADOMANI®. "We provided continuous technical support and training for Blue Bird's U.S. and Canadian dealer network, which is designed to ensure that all stakeholders are prepared to move the zero-emission all-electric school bus from order to delivery, including the final CHP inspection, which all of the buses recently passed without incident."

Mark Toti, Transportation Director for Bellflower Unified School District, which received one of the zero-emission all-electric school buses, stated, "The main reason we chose to go with Blue Bird was the local support from A-Z Bus Sales and Blue Bird itself." Hector Morales, Supervisor of Maintenance, Operations and Transportation for Mountain View Unified School District, which received two of the zero-emission all-electric school buses, stated, "We are extremely impressed with the quality and performance and are eager to make full use of our new fully electric buses."

The SCAQMD and other grant sponsors set specific guidelines for delivery and assess liquidated damages of $100 per day for grant-funded buses that do not meet the grant delivery deadline, which continue until the buses are delivered. The SCAQMD has indicated that the purpose for assessing the penalty is to ensure a level playing field for all businesses that stand to profit from the sale of grant program-funded school buses to minimize any potential risks to school districts and to forestall delays in achieving emission benefits.

"The on-time delivery of the all-electric school buses helped us refine our production and delivery process with Blue Bird, which helps set the stage for continued delivery success, especially as we anticipate the release of additional grant funds by larger electric school bus funding programs in California in the coming months," said Jim Reynolds, President and CEO of ADOMANI®. "Blue Bird is the leader of alternative fuel school buses and a pioneer in developing the first all-electric school bus in 1994. Their dealership and service network have an established history of timely delivery and support."
