The scholarship will be opened to applicants until December of 2018. It rewards $1,000 regardless of affiliation with the company as the funds will be accessible at every college or university. To be eligible for the award, applicants will have to meet a few requirements further discussed below.
The scholarship is opened to alumni of the company, those presently affiliated, and anyone attending a 2-year college or a 4-year university. To be considered for the award, students will have to submit a 500-word essay on the following topic: The Main Benefits of Studying Abroad. As seen by the nature of the project which emphasizes an intercultural approach, students will have to showcase compelling arguments for the aforementioned topic. Those must further be depicted in a coherent way and proper writing techniques that will distinguish an essay from many others.
To guarantee an equal opportunity for consideration to all applicants, there will be a short survey that must be filled out alongside the essay. This enables the company to get familiar with the college or university in question, the address of residence, and other details that will help with contacting the winner. The final deadline to submit the essay and the survey is December 31, 2018. After all the entries have been reviewed, the company will announce the winner in January of the subsequent year, 2019. In order to enforce timeliness, the winner will be given two weeks to respond to the scholarship offer. If there is no response, the offer will be withdrawn and sent to the runner-up who will have their own two weeks to get back to the company.
