UNION, NJ / ACCESSWIRE / November 15, 2017 / Leading drug and alcohol treatment facility in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Massachusetts, Summit Behavioral Health, is proud to announce the launch of a new website for its recent addition to the recovery services it provides. Their outpatient eating disorder treatment facility in Doylestown, PA, has released a website to inform the public about eating disorders and about the treatment services that Summit provides.

Outpatient Eating Disorder Treatment for Men and Women

According to the new website, ''Eating disorders are serious, sometimes life-threatening and can affect individuals from all walks of life. There isn't any age group, sex, race, ethnicity, or socioeconomic background that is safe from the devastating effects of eating disorders. Once an eating disorder takes hold of an individual, it is very difficult for that person to overcome the dangerous behaviors and distorted psychological thinking without professional help.''

Summit's eating disorder treatment program is available to both men and women, 18 years of age or older on an outpatient basis. Clients are offered multiple levels of care with a partial hospitalization program (PHP) that meets five days a week, or an intensive outpatient program (IOP) that meets three days a week. Treatment includes lab work and pharmacogenetic testing and holistic approaches like mindfulness and meditation practices.

The programs offer clients access to a brand-new kitchen where they will learn how to establish a healthy relationship with food and self through the use of meal planning and preparing with Summit staff. Summit strives to ensure that clients connect with their mental, emotional, and spiritual needs to naturally treat their bodies with love and compassion.
