SAN DIEGO, CA / ACCESSWIRE / October 20, 2017 / Data technology company Home Junction has been collecting consumer search behavior data for the past 10 years and has learned that 35% of the home buyers search properties near schools, grocery stores, cafes, and local businesses. In certain areas across the country, it could be as high as 70% depending on the lifestyle variables such as living near schools or golf course.

As consumers demand more information about potential neighborhoods, one company has released a real estate data aggregator tool. Home Junction announces the release of version 2.0 of its SpatialMatch Lifestyle Search. This second version of SpatialMatch will work as a WordPress plugin or as a standalone search portal on any platform. The tool is designed to be installed on a realtor's website and used by consumers in need of detailed data on the lifestyle they can find in a neighborhood or area.

"This is a proud moment for us," Home Junction Senior Vice President Ed Kim said. "We are happy to serve our community of realtors in this way. Real estate agents work hard to deliver value to consumers, and they deserve mobile-responsive platforms that can help their clients learn about a potential neighborhood."

Lifestyle searching can be a driving factor in selecting a property to rent or buy. SpatialMatch 2.0 is a tool that enables consumers to search by average home price, population, income level, and crime rates. The new search tool can showcase properties within proximity to top-rated schools and local businesses.

It's designed for real estate developers, investors, families, and individuals looking for geographical data on a property they intend to purchase or rent. SpatialMatch allows users to research neighborhoods and subdivisions based upon geographic and demographic data.

"The information age has brought us the ability to be more exacting with research, and to allow people to find the data we collect and aggregate in a way that works for them," said Kim. "Can you imagine trying to find out these things a generation ago? Word of mouth remains really powerful, but I think lifestyle searches are a more accurate version of that concept."

Unlike other, similar lifestyle searches, SpatialMatch 2.0 seeks to be more accommodating to today's technologies by allowing customized, hand-drawn free form search areas from tablets. Researching consumers can add favorites, and will be notified via e-mail if the price of a property or its status changes.

Data aggregation often occurs in layers, and data science is one of the hottest and most crucial market trends across many fields. For realtors and homebuyers concerned with lifestyle especially, data layering is important. SpatialMatch 2.0 has typical real estate and demographic information search layers but also features new ancillary points of interest layers that provide information about businesses, schools, demographics, and organizations in the custom zoned area of a consumer's choosing.
