Some time later, the customer excavated the moat around his property, and could no longer see the beauty of his expensive Koi carp because of the murky green water in his moat.

The water looked just like green pea soup ! The moat included water features cascading over rocks, with ornamental life size animals, such as deer, bears, crocodiles and herons.

It was a tropical oasis of paradise, but he could no longer see his prized Koi carp.

The owner explained that he had tried various methods and techniques to clean up the bright green water, and another company had recommended a total aeration system to be installed to try to cure the problem but the water stubbornly remained green.

Chris, Director of Aquamaster Water Treatment Ltd., worked out the capacity of the water in the moat, and designed a suitable commercial water treatment system to deal with the problem.

He prescribed a six stage ultra violet system constructed from grade 304 stainless steel, pressure rated at 10 bar specifically for this project. Also included was a back washing multi-media sand filter to be used as pre-treatment filtration before the ultraviolet system.

Two high pressure re-circulation pumps were also incorporated within the system to create continuous water circulation through the filtration equipment. It was important to ensure that all the water in the moat would be circulated via the ultra violet system to make sure that there would be no stagnant untreated areas.

All of the commercial water treatment ultraviolet installation work was completed successfully within a couple of weeks, and just three days later, the water was crystal clear.

The Koi carp looked magnificent now that their glorious colours were apparent.

The customer is now able to enjoy his retirement , relaxing by the moat, watching his fish feeding and swimming back and forth.
