SASKATOON, SK / ACCESSWIRE / September 7, 2017 / iFare, a new ride share app that encourages designated drivers to link to their favorite restaurants and pubs to help in the fight against drinking and driving, has been launched in Canada.

"iFare encourages all restaurants and pubs across the country to become part of the "iFare family of businesses" that encourage their customers to make the responsible decisions at the end of their visit," says iFare founder Saul Segall.

Restaurants and pubs are already taking advantage of the app and are becoming "iFare designated driving zones". There are many designated driving services and iFare will help them increase their own exposure and help people get to where they need to be, safely. It also encourages good Samaritans to offer a safe and sober ride home.

The app is completely free to use and is based only on contributions and the driver keeps every penny. Segall adds, "unlike other rideshare apps like Uber and Lyft, iFare doesn't take a cut of the fare. The driver keeps it all."

Although iFare caters to the everday commuter both in and out of town in terms of a ride share service consisting of taxi drivers and other similar businesses, its focus will be in the fight against drinking and driving.

Beta testing showed the average ride request takes 8.4 seconds. 2.1 seconds using the "take me home" button. "The app is a platform for taxi's, ride share services and everyday commuters to increase their exposure and tap into a contribution based market," says Segall.
