Filming Her Starring Role as a Domestic Abuse Victim in 'Back Stabber' Began Just Two Days After Going Public with Her Domestic Abuse Allegations Against Ex Fiancé and Utah Jazz Player Jeff Whitley, but Producers Say it's "Just a Coincidence"
LOS ANGELES, CA / ACCESSWIRE / June 5, 2017 / Playing an abused girlfriend, Kennedy Summers has officially wrapped her staring role in season 2 of the award winning series 'Back Stabber' on Amazon. After claiming domestic abuse, a press whirlwind flurried over Summers in April after obtaining a restraining order against her ex fiancé and Utah Jazz player Jeff Whitley. Coincidentally enough, the recent 'Playmate of The Year' started filming the domestic violence role just two days after filing the order of protection against Whitley. Agreeing that the timing is suspicious, producers avidly deny it being a publicity stunt.
Commenting on Kennedy Summers parallel to the characters' story line, creator and executive producer Ryan Zamo said, "Although it's sad, Kennedy was able to channel the real life issues and bring this character to life." Season 1 of the show premiered last June and is known for its controversial topics of societal issues. Zamo added, "We want to bring to light the unspoken issues in today's world, and we are happy Kennedy was able to do so with her character, and her personal real life struggles."
Season 2 of 'Back Stabber' is set to premiere this November and season 1 can be streamed on Amazon for free by visiting: https://www.amazon.com/Back-Stabber-Episode-8/dp/B071VL7RRC/ref=sr_1_2?s=instant-video&ie=UTF8&qid=1496595933&sr=1-2&keywords=back+stabber
