CHARLESTON, SC / ACCESSWIRE / March 1, 2017 / Mission Solutions Group ("MSG"), Inc., a Delaware Corporation and Veteran Owned Small Business (VOSB), announced today that BlueJay Products, Inc., a Delaware Corporation and subsidiary of MSG, closed its acquisition of the Diesel Exhaust Fluid (DEF) blending assets of Stateside Urea Funding, LLC (STUF). BlueJay will immediately assume full operating control of the DEF manufacturing and Urea storage facility in Charleston, SC.

MSG is a family of premier companies providing dedicated mission critical support in the Communications/Cyber-Security and Sustainment verticals, which includes Marshall Communications and Sidecar Enterprises, a Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB). Part of the company's growth strategy is through acquisition of additional companies similar to those purchased by BlueJay.

"We have been operating the DEF plant in Charleston for over a year as part of an agreement with STUF and are excited about moving this operation more fully into our Sustainment vertical. We see a tremendous amount of opportunity in the future for high quality, regionally produced DEF as the market continues to grow. South Carolina is well suited to supply both the over the road and maritime markets as the need for DEF expands into oceangoing vessels," said Kevin Ferraro, Mission Solutions Group's COO.

"I am impressed with MSG's plans to help even more customers reduce their emissions and comply with EPA regulations," Andrew Kramer, Managing Member of STUF stated. "The consummation of this transaction will allow for the full realization of the market potential for DEF and Urea in the southeastern and eastern United States and enable all stakeholders to recognize a significant return on investment."
