Zamo appeared on Lifetime's new "shark tank" style series, Project Runway Fashion Startup, pitching his line of organic acne products on November 3rd. The day after the episode aired, the young entrepreneur reported a massive spike in web traffic, he said, "I purposely waited to release the new line after my episode aired. 95% of the visitors to my site signed up for my email list, so even if they didn't purchase my acne products, I knew they were still interested in my products. The next day, I announced it, and orders literally flooded in."

Using pure organic ingredients in his skincare line, Zamo has incorporated exotic herbal remedies from across the globe, using herbs and oils found in no other skincare products on the market, he said, "My father is from Budapest, Hungary, and when I learned how Hungarian paprika helps lighten dark marks and scars, I checked to see if any other products used it. They didn't, so that prompted me to keep searching and researching for other ingredients that aren't being used. The result was astonishing, I found so many new ingredients, for example triphala which comes from Africa. It's said to contain 30 times more vitamin C than typical citrus ingredients." Vitamin C is used in skincare products because it's an 'alpha-hydroxy acid', which works by dissolving dead skin cells and revealing a brighter new layer of skin, and is often used in chemical peels after being chemically altered to be more potent.

Combining new ingredients that have not been explored by organic skincare lines, mixed with his prices averaging just $17, the new line by Z Skin Cosmetics seems to have the appeal that consumers are seeking. Zamo hand makes each product; from crushing up and brewing the herbs himself, to packing, labeling and shipping each order. With the help of the platform that Project Runway Fashion Startup provided him, Zamo was able to reach the masses, and it seems his strategic timing is paying off for the young entrepreneur.
