"Organizing the Walk to End Alzheimer's is like throwing a party for 1,000 of my closest friends," said Julie Russo, co-owner of McKee Homes. "This is a job I do not take lightly."

Several fun activities have been planned for kids of all ages at the 2016 Fayetteville Walk to End Alzheimer's. Fayetteville Champions for Children will be present, and its members will be dressed in their well-known costumes, as super heroes and princesses. Face painting and bounce houses will also be available, and attendees will be able to view entertaining dance performances. Carolina Selfie Stand and an ROTC Color Guard will also be in attendance.

So far, the 2016 Walk to End Alzheimer's has raised just over 57% of its revenue goal of $104,500. Some events have been planned prior to the walk in order to help the organization reach its funding goal. A fundraising night at Texas Roadhouse in Fayetteville will take place on September 8, 2016. People are invited to enjoy dinner at the restaurant from 5:00-9:00 pm. McKee Homes is asking restaurant goers to mention the Fayetteville Walk to End Alzheimer's, and 10% of their bill will be donated to the Walk.

McKee Homes invites the public to join them for Bunco night on September 9, 2016, at 6:30 pm. Interested persons may come out for a wild and fun game night, while raising funds for the Walk to End Alzheimer's. Bunco is an enjoyable game that requires no experience, just a great sense of humor. The cost to play is $15, which covers bottle water, snacks and prizes for the winners. The rest of the proceeds go toward the walk. The game will take place at 1866 Brawley Ave., in Fayetteville.

A movie event has been planned for September 10, 2016 at the Millstone Theatre on Camden Road. People are invited to watch the new movie, "The Wild Life," and $2 from each ticket sale will be donated to the Fayetteville Walk to End Alzheimer's.

Tickets are $7.50, and drinks and popcorn will be offered for $1.00. Like and follow the Facebook page for McKee Homes to receive updates on this movie event, as they are available: https://www.facebook.com/fayettevillewalktoendalz/events.
