Audiovase™ is a non-electronic speaker technology that increases smartphone volume by about double

LOS ANGELES, CA / ACCESSWIRE / May 31, 2016 / Joe Morin and Shuffle 3 are thrilled to introduce Audiovase™. Audiovase™ is a non-electronic audio accessory that uses surface geometry to boost sound from a smartphone's speaker. What results is an audio boost by about double, and all from a speaker that uses no batteries, electricity, or external power sources.

The technology was created by Morin when he walked into the kitchen one day to find his wife listening to music straight from her phone. This surprised him, because a perfectly good Bluetooth speaker sat just feet away. Curious, he asked her why she wasn't using the speaker, and she said it was "just easier" to use her phone's speaker instead.

Morin was surprised by that answer, but upon further research he learned that many people don't bother with Bluetooth speakers because they are oftentimes more hassle than they're worth. It takes time to sync (if at all), it quickly drains the power on the phone, and it has a limited battery life that needs constant charging.

Many people use "life-hacks" such as putting their smart phone into a cup to amplify the sound, but in addition to only minimal amplification, those hacks significantly cut into the audio quality, making music sound muffled and hollow.

The Audiovase is specifically designed to boost audio output by about double, but perhaps most importantly; it also increases the sound quality.

"So how does it work?" asks Morin. "As sound leaves your smartphone's speaker the sound waves reflect off the bottom surface and reverberate off the vertical walls as they exit the acoustic horn. The Audiovase's™ elliptical shape eliminates the muffled sound you get using cups and bowls by shortening the distance the sound waves need to travel as they reverberate off the vertical walls."

The Audiovase™ is big enough to accommodate any regular sized smart phone as well as their case, and it comes with an internal cavity at the to fit any phone’s charging cord.

So far feedback for the Audiovase™ has been overwhelmingly positive, so Morin plans to bring it to a larger market. In order to purchase molding tools and meet minimum order quantities, he has taken Audiovase™ to Kickstarter to seek backers and monetary contributions to roll it out to a national audience.
