The company also uses 100% of the company’s profits to support families wishing to adopt orphaned children through the domestic sales of the vitamin.
Along with helping to alleviate the orphan crisis, Encompass Nutrients also sponsors in need children on a monthly basis, donates to orphanage support programs, gives to organizations fighting sex trafficking, and helps build schools in partnerships with an organization called Lifesong for Orphans.
Dr. Waggoner stated his passion to found Encompass Nutrients first started after traveling to Ethiopia in 2010 to adopt a 9-month-old baby girl (now 6 years old). Dr. Waggoner explains that the visuals left in his mind after visiting the orphanage left a serious mark on his heart. He saw the lack of available care for the children, and in one instance he recalled, "In a room full of 50 babies, only 1 was crying. The remaining 49 babies lay there silently. When I asked why none of the other babies were crying, I was told it was because they had given up. They knew no one was coming for them."
And with that inspiration, Dr. Waggoner founded Encompass Nutrients. After 7 months, the companies’ sales would surpass 6 figures, with all the profits being donated to providing nutritional care for orphans and financially support families wishing to adopt children.
Dr. Waggoner continues to visit Ethiopia once a year, each time bringing with him one of his children. His desire is that they would always view the world through a unique lens, one colored with compassion and a heart longing to help change the desolate situations around the world.
