Black Friday SALES on Apple iPad Mini with Retina Display (Mini 3 and Mini 2) and iPad Air 1st and 2nd Generation Tablets Published

Chicago, IL / ACCESSWIRE / November 28, 2014 / There are several generations of Apple iPads in the market and all of them are on sale this Black Friday 2014. While some deals are strictly available online, others are available both online and in-store. This year, many retailers offered Apple iPad discounts as early as 21st of November, a full week ahead of the big day.

Up to $169 off iPad Mini SALES were seen on the Apple iPad Mini 2 during the Black Friday week. The 2014 iPad Mini 3 is also on sale at many retailers, but the discounts were obviously not that steep.

Current Apple iPad Air SALES summarizes the Best 2014 Black Friday iPad Air Deals. Both the 1st generation iPad Air and iPad Air 2 are on sale. While some of the above deals involved direct price cuts, others involved free gift cards.

One of the major dilemmas iPad deal hunters face this year is whether to go with an iPad Mini 2 or Mini 3. They are very similar models with just a few differences. For most shoppers this year, spending the extra $100 on a Mini 3 may not be justifiable considering these minor differences. The availability of the Champagne Gold color and the fingerprint sensor are the two major differences between the two models. “Whether those features are worth the extra 100 bucks will totally depend on individual taste” says Casey Donalds, a co-author of the above Apple iPad Black Friday Sales.

http://TabletThings.com/Apple-iPad-Mini-DEALS/ also provides a detailed comparison of the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd generations of the 7.9 inch iPad Mini tablets.

In contrast to the mini iPads where the differences between the last two generations are minimal, the differences between the 1st generation iPad Air and the 2014 iPad Air 2 are considerable. However, from a technical point of view, some people will still consider these differences not worth the extra $100. For example, the iPad Air 2 is (1) 32 grams lighter, and (2) 18% thinner than the 2013 model. Considering that the 2013 model is anyway pretty light and thin, most Black Friday and Cyber Monday shoppers will be reluctant to upgrade to the newest model based on these specs.

"Probably the only worthy feature upgrading to an iPad Air 2 is its Apple A8X CPU which is supposed to be 40% faster than its predecessor, the A7" explains Donalds. "This is why it will not be worth upgrading to the Air 2, unless there was at least a $50 discount. The good news is that the 2nd generation Air will get a $100 discount on Black Friday from Best Buy. But how many people will be able to take advantage of this offer, remains to be seen" adds Donalds.
